Blessed with beaches without end, Puntarenas covers two third parts of the Pacific coast to the border with Panama. This Paradise of the Pacific among others has the popular Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most beautiful of Costa Rica. The dense and green forest of Corcovado National Park offers a nature that shows a virgin tropical world.
The Private Reserve Monteverde Cloud Forest is one of the richest in the world. It extends on both sides of the cordilleara and is the only known place where people live very rare toads gold. The Carara Biological Reserve protects an area of transendencia and protect a vast wildlife: Among the large bird endangered the wonderful Lapa Cross or Scarlet Macaw.
